Founder's Story

A Beautiful HEART Ministries was born out of my own lived experience. During my incarceration, I witnessed firsthand the deep emotional wounds carried by women, wounds rooted in trauma, abandonment, violence, poverty, and systems that failed them long before prison ever did. I watched women with extraordinary resilience return to the outside world only to be met with the same barriers, the same stigmas, and the same lack of support that contributed to their incarceration in the first place.

As I listened to their stories, I realized the problem was never a lack of desire to change; it was a lack of healing, dignity, and resources. I heard women speak of their pain, their fears, their hopes, and their dreams. In those conversations, I saw the truth clearly: transformation requires more than a release date. It requires a community that believes in your worth before you believe in it yourself.

With that conviction, I created A Beautiful HEART Ministries. What began as a personal mission became a movement dedicated to trauma-informed care, empowerment, advocacy, and restoration for women and girls impacted by the justice system. ABHM was built on the belief that every woman deserves to be seen, supported, and uplifted, not judged by her past, but guided towards her purpose.

Today, ABHM stands as a testament to what is possible when healing meets opportunity. We serve thousands of women, girls, and gender-fluid individuals each year, offering programs that restore dignity, strengthen identity, and open pathways to thriving futures. My journey from incarceration to advocacy reminds me every day that healing is real, hope is powerful, and every woman carries the capacity to rise beyond her circumstances. A Beautiful HEART Ministries is my commitment to making sure she never has to rise alone.

Why I Lead

I lead because I know what it means to be overlooked, silenced, and dismissed. I lead because every woman deserves someone fighting for her healing and her future. I lead because this work is personal, not just for me, but for every woman and girl who deserves a life beyond survival.
